TELECOM POWER SOLUTIONS
Rack Power for Telecom Sites — Rectifiers, Inverters and DC-DC Conversion
48V DC rectifier systems, rack-mounted inverters and DC-DC converters for telecom cabinets, base stations and backup power rooms. VOITA supplies operators, system integrators and distributors — with the rectifier, the inverter and the rack mechanics specified against one site requirement.
WHO WE SERVE
One Power Supplier Across the Site Build
A telecom power rack has three different buyers behind it — the operator who has to keep the site on air, the integrator who has to fit it into a cabinet that already exists, and the distributor who has to support it years later. All three need the same thing: it has to fit, and it has to stay up.
Telecom Operators & Site Builders
Power equipment for base stations, cabinets and backup rooms, specified against the load and the battery string the site actually runs.
System Integrators & EPC
Rack-mounted equipment for projects where the cabinet height, the DC bus and the AC load are fixed before the power equipment is chosen.
Distributors & Service Networks
Stock and replacement supply across rectifier, inverter and converter functions, with documentation for your market and your service teams.
POWER ARCHITECTURES
48V DC, 220V AC and the Conversion Between Them
48V DC is the common language of telecom sites, but it is not the whole specification. The current, the redundancy, the battery string and the AC load behind the inverter are what decide whether the rack performs. Those are the numbers we set with you.
48V DC Rectifier Systems
AC to 48V DC conversion with battery charging, sized for the site load plus the recharge current the string needs.
48VDC to 220VAC Inverters
Rack inverters that supply AC loads from the DC bus, from a compact unit up to 8kVA and 10kVA high-frequency models.
48VDC to 220VDC Converters
DC-to-DC conversion between bus levels inside the cabinet, for equipment that does not run on the site’s primary DC voltage.
Choosing the right architecture
| Function | Typical application | What we configure |
|---|---|---|
| Rectifier system | Converting AC site power to a 48V DC bus and charging the battery string | Output current, module count and redundancy matched to the site load |
| Rack inverter | Supplying 220V AC loads from the 48V DC bus | Output rating and transfer behaviour set against the AC load and the battery |
| Rack DC-DC converter | Converting between DC levels inside the cabinet | Input and output levels matched to the existing bus and the equipment being fed |
| Custom | Non-standard voltages and OEM requirements | Developed with you against the site specification |
RECTIFIER SYSTEMS
48V DC Is Only the Starting Point
A rectifier system does three jobs at once — it converts, it charges, and it carries the site load while the battery is doing neither. Sizing it on the load alone is the usual reason a site browns out during a long outage.
- Output current sized for the site load plus the battery recharge current
- Module redundancy so a single failure does not take the site off air
- Float and boost behaviour matched to the battery string in service
- Low-voltage disconnect and alarm behaviour aligned with site practice
RACK & INSTALLATION
The Rack Has a Height, a Depth and a Cable Route
Telecom power equipment lives in a cabinet that already has a height, a depth and a cable route. We work from the rack side of the installation — the available units, the mounting rails and the termination points — and configure the equipment to it.
- 19-inch rack formats, including 3U and 2U builds for standard cabinets
- Input and output terminations matched to the existing cable route
- Rack inverters and converters dimensioned for the cabinet depth available
- Documentation and labelling prepared for your market
TELECOM RANGE
Rack-Mounted Power for 19-Inch Cabinets
From a 2.4kW rectifier module to a 19-inch 3U 200A rectifier system, the range covers the DC power, inversion and conversion stages of a telecom site.

BATTERY & BACKUP
The Rectifier Charges a Battery Bank You Already Own
A rectifier only works as well as the battery string behind it. Float and boost behaviour, low-voltage disconnect and the transfer to inverter have to agree with the battery the site already has, or the backup does not behave as designed.
- Charging behaviour set against the battery chemistry and string size on site
- Backup runtime reviewed against the load rather than the nameplate rating
- Inverter transfer and AC load sizing checked together with the DC bus
- One configuration carried across a site rollout or fleet of cabinets
HOW WE SUPPLY
Three Ways to Buy Telecom Power
Project Supply
Equipment supplied against a site build or rollout programme, with consistent configuration and documentation across every rack delivered.

FAQ
Questions Telecom Buyers Ask Us
What DC voltage do your telecom rectifier systems use?
Our telecom range is built around a 48V DC bus, which is the standard for the sites these systems are specified into. Systems rated at 2.4kW and at 150A and 200A in 19-inch rack formats are part of the range, with the configuration matched to your load.
Can you supply the rectifier and the inverter for the same site?
Yes. Rectifier systems, rack inverters and rack DC-DC converters are all supplied from the same range, so the DC power stage, the AC loads and any intermediate DC levels can be specified against one site requirement instead of being matched afterwards.
How do I size a rectifier for an existing battery string?
The output has to cover the site load and still have capacity to recharge the battery. Send us the load, the battery capacity and the recharge time you expect, and we will propose the module count and redundancy that fits.
Do you supply 19-inch rack-mount formats?
Yes. 19-inch rack mounting is the standard format across the telecom range, including 3U rectifier systems and 2U rack equipment. Tell us the rack units available and we will confirm the configuration that fits the cabinet.
What AC output do the rack inverters provide?
The rack inverter range covers 220V AC output from a 48V DC bus, in pure sine wave and high-frequency designs, with models rated at 5kVA, 8kVA and 10kVA. The rating is chosen against the AC load the site needs to carry.
Do you supply replacement units for racks already in service?
Yes. Replacement and spares supply is part of our telecom business. Send the existing model, the DC bus voltage and the current or power rating, and we will propose a matching replacement.
